The Merchants House is Located near Walcot Street which is well known as the bohemian part of Bath. The amazing views to the rear of the house offer a wonderful perspective of Bath and the Surrounding Hills.
In Walcot you can find a massively diverse selection of shops. You will be offered the following from independent boutiques; hats, designer fridges, futons, fine cheese, mountain gear to old books, bikes and sewing machines, antiques, food and much much more.
Restaurants nearby include the Olive Tree (for special occasions), the famous Wagamama, Loch Fyne (for fish), Ask (for upmarket pizzas), The Hudson Bar (for American style steaks) and just along the road is the Adventure Cafe for a proper breakfast!
We are also spoiled for pubs with the Star Inn just a minute away which is the oldest pub in Bath to still have its original fixtures. It got its license in 1760 and sells the award winning Bellringer ale! Further into town is the Coeur de Lion which is another Bar with a nice, authentic atmosphere.
